The super large air spring vibration isolation foundation platform was successfully developed.

The super-large air spring vibration isolation foundation platform, independently developed by Professor Tan Jiubin from the Institute of Ultra-Precision Optoelectronic Instrument Engineering, has achieved promising results. This cutting-edge technology is a crucial component in constructing large-scale ultra-precision testing platforms, and it addresses one of the major challenges in establishing advanced engineering research facilities, basic scientific research laboratories, and applied research centers. To tackle the technical difficulties associated with heavy-duty and ultra-low-frequency vibration isolation, Professor Tan's research team launched a dedicated project. They introduced innovative patented technologies, such as multi-position air-floating balance precision monitoring and feedback systems, as well as multi-level residual vibration suppression techniques. These breakthroughs have significantly enhanced the performance and reliability of the system. After nearly a year of intensive research and development, the team successfully completed the design and engineering implementation of three super-large air spring vibration isolation platforms. The largest of these measures 11 meters in length, 3.7 meters in width, and 2.6 meters in height, weighing approximately 180 tons. Preliminary tests showed that the vibration isolation frequency is below 0.8 Hz, demonstrating that our university's technology in this field has reached international advanced standards. This super-large air spring vibration isolation technology is essential for supporting large-scale, high-precision test equipment, cutting-edge technical devices, and advanced manufacturing systems. It represents a key technological milestone in national efforts to enhance equipment manufacturing and testing capabilities. By independently developing the core technology for super-large air spring vibration isolation, our ultra-precision optoelectronic instrument engineering institute has not only saved millions in research funding but also secured a critical capability for future ultra-precision research. This achievement marks a significant step forward in enhancing our experimental conditions and positioning the university as a leader in the field of ultra-precision science and technology.
