This morning, firefighters from the Deerfield-Bannockburn Fire Department responded to a call about smoke rising from the second floor of a two-story home located at 1131 Osterman Avenue. Upon arrival, initial crews confirmed the presence of smoke and escalated the situation to an active fire response. Although the smoke seemed to be originating from the first floor, the flames were quickly brought under control.
A number of fire units were dispatched to the scene, including Deerfield-Bannockburn’s Engine 20, Squad 19, Truck 20, Battalion 20, along with additional support from Highland Park’s Battalion 33 and Truck 33. Other responding departments included Northbrook’s Battalion 11, Ambulance 11, and Engine 10, Lincolnshire-Riverwoods’ Ambulance 52, Engine 52, and 5201, as well as Lake Forest’s Truck 421.
