Quick updates from an alley garage fire that happened this morning at 5955 S. Throop (12/24). Engine 84 arrived on scene and immediately used their deck gun to bring the flames under control. Within minutes, they had the fire mostly knocked out and then stretched a line to finish the mop-up. It was a fast response and efficient work. Wishing everyone a happy holiday season—especially those who are working over the next few days away from their families.

It's always impressive to see how quickly the fire department can respond and contain a situation like this. The images show just how intense the fire was in a tight alley space, but the crew handled it professionally. A big thank you to all the first responders for being there when it matters most.
