What are the differences between ball screw linear module and belt driven linear actuator?

On the positioning accuracy, belt driven linear module is lightly worse than ball screw actuator, of course, the price is relatively lower, suitable for packaging machinery, printing machinery, logistics handling, lithium battery transplanting handling low precision requirement of automation industry, such as belt with steel wire inside, in order to make the leather belt is more durable, belt module is through the width of the belt to increase the load capacity of module, compared with screw module, belt module relatively faster speed, light fast positioning, belt module is not recommended for Z axis.


Belt Drive Linear Stage

The basic features of the belt driven actuator:

2. Easy to change the main components.

3. The stroke of belt driven linear module can be super-long for customer`s design.
Anyway, belt driven linear module is quicker than ball screw linear actuator, no critical speed limit at the same time, with more than the other in terms of long stroke transmission ratio, but the positioning accuracy of synchronous belt transmission is lower than the ball screw linear motion guide.
