In 2003, China's first set of 270,000 tons/year large-scale double-pressurization domestic nitric acid plant was built in Shanxi Tianji Group. Before this device was put into operation, the Tianji Group had an annual output of 540,000 tons of nitric acid equipment, and all equipment and technology were imported from abroad. In the case that the device could not meet production, it decided to build a new plant with an annual output of 270,000 tons of nitric acid. It is estimated that if a new set of nitric acid plant is introduced from abroad, it will need to invest 320 million yuan, if the investment in the use of localization equipment is about 208 million yuan, compared with the Houtianji Group, it will decide to adopt domestic technology.
After comparing five kinds of production processes, Tianji sees the dual pressure technology that has been listed as a chemical cleaner production technology by the country. Through the implementation of localization technologies, we have developed practical technologies for reducing the absorption of large absorption towers and improving the operational flexibility. We have taken the lead in trials of new types of ammoxidation catalysts and have independently developed a set of manufacturing processes for large-scale tower containers.
