In November 2007, the R&D center successfully developed a new large-diameter F91 electric gate valve for the 600MW supercritical unit at Changzhou Power Plant. This marked a significant milestone in the company's product development, as it also involved the production of forged gate valves for the 1000MW unit at Huadian Zouxian Power Generation Co., Ltd. Additionally, the company designed and manufactured WB36 tailor-welded forged gate valves for a Beijing-based firm, as well as high-grade CF8C and F321 stainless steel valves for Shenmu Tianyuan. These projects represented the launch of several new large-caliber valve products, showcasing the company’s growing technical capabilities.
During the same month, representatives from Changzhou Power Plant, including senior management, visited the company to conduct an on-site inspection. They met with key departments such as technical and procurement teams, and engaged in detailed discussions with sales, engineering, production, operations, and quality assurance teams. The visit included a thorough review of product design, quality control processes, material sourcing, production planning, delivery timelines, and past performance on F91 valve projects. The Changzhou Power Plant team expressed strong confidence in the high-quality standards of the company’s large-diameter F91 electric gate valves.
Following the visit, an agreement was signed, and shortly after, the company received confirmation that it had secured a supply contract for 10-inch and 18-inch F91 forged gate valves for Changzhou Power Plant. This contract further solidified the company’s position as a reliable supplier of critical components for high-performance power generation systems.
The design parameters of the large-diameter F91 electric gate valve are as follows: For the main steam pipeline, the pressure is 25.4 MPa, the temperature is 576°C, the pipe size is 230×29 mm, and the material is ASTM A335 P91. For the hot reheat pipeline, the pressure is 5.042 MPa, the temperature is also 576°C, the pipe size is 415×20 mm, and the material is again ASTM A335 P91. These specifications highlight the valve’s ability to perform under extreme conditions, making it suitable for advanced power plant applications.
