In November 2007, the R&D center successfully developed a new large-diameter F91 electric gate valve specifically designed for the 600MW supercritical unit at Changzhou Power Plant. This achievement marked a significant milestone in the company's efforts to expand its product line and meet the demands of high-performance power generation systems. In addition to this, the center also produced forged gate valves for the 1000MW units at Huadian Zouxian Power Generation Co., Ltd., as well as WB36 tailor-welded forged gate valves for a Beijing-based company. The team also introduced several advanced products, including CF8C and F321 stainless steel high-grade valves, further enhancing the company’s technical capabilities.
During the same month, representatives from Changzhou Power Plant, accompanied by their technical and procurement teams, visited the company to conduct a thorough inspection. They engaged in detailed discussions with various departments, including sales, engineering, production, operations, and quality control. The visit included an in-depth review of product design, quality management processes, material sourcing, production planning, delivery timelines, and past performance on F91 valve projects. The Changzhou Power Plant team expressed strong confidence in the quality and reliability of the company's large-diameter F91 electric gate valves. Following the visit, a formal product technology agreement was signed, and shortly after, the company received confirmation that it had secured a supply contract for the 10-inch and 18-inch F91 forged gate valves.
The design parameters for the large-diameter F91 electric gate valve are critical to its performance. For the main steam pipeline, the valve is designed to handle a pressure of 25.4 MPa and a temperature of 576°C, with a pipe size of 230×29 mm, using ASTM A335 P91 material. For the hot reheat pipeline, the operating conditions are slightly lower, with a pressure of 5.042 MPa and the same temperature of 576°C, and a pipe size of 415×20 mm, again utilizing ASTM A335 P91. These specifications highlight the valve’s ability to perform under extreme conditions, making it suitable for use in advanced power generation systems.
