After investigating more than 30 domestic nitrogen fertilizer companies, the author found that currently domestic fertilizer companies rarely carry out soil testing and fertilizer application. With the increasing comprehensive benefits of soil testing and formula fertilization, this method will gradually replace traditional scattered fertilization. BB fertilizer and compound fertilizer, which are the main fertilizers for soil testing and fertilizer application, will gradually replace traditional nitrogen and potassium fertilizers. The impact of this change on the production of single fertilized fertilizer companies cannot be underestimated.
According to the plan of the Ministry of Agriculture, in the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” period, the annual soil fertigation area in China will be more than 400 million mu, and the final soil fertigation area will account for about 50% of the total cultivated area in China, and BB fertilizer and chemical compound fertilizer will be required. The total physical amount will exceed 42 million tons/year. At present, the annual output of BB fertilizer in China is 5 million tons and that of chemical compound fertilizer is about 9 million tons. The gap between supply and demand is relatively large. If China's soil testing and formula fertilization area reaches 50% of the total cultivated land area, more than 40% of the single fertilizer needs to be processed into BB fertilizer and chemical compound fertilizer, and the nitrogen fertilizer application rate will be reduced from the current 73% to 40% to 50%. At the same time, companies must not only adjust their formulas according to market conditions and regional soil and crop characteristics, but also cultivate a marketing team that understands marketing and guides farmers in scientific fertilization. Therefore, for more than 90% of China's single fertilizer production enterprises, especially nitrogen fertilizer production companies, the challenges of soil testing and formula fertilization are greater than the opportunities. The majority of nitrogen fertilizer production enterprises must fully realize this, and prepare early and participate early.
On the one hand, powerful large and medium-sized nitrogenous fertilizer companies should directly produce compound fertilizers or BB fertilizers through mergers and reorganizations, technological transformations, upgrading of equipment, and introduction of new technologies. Or through the transformation of the granulation system, production of raw materials such as potassium chloride, ammonium chloride, ammonium sulfate and large-particle urea and other BB fertilizers is needed to make their products marketable in the future market.
On the other hand, the newly launched fertilizer project should be based on large-granule urea, sulfur-coated urea, particulate potassium chloride, ammonium sulfate particles, and granular ammonium chloride. Some of these products can be directly used for soil testing and formulating fertilization, some are indispensable raw materials for the production of BB fertilizers and compound fertilizers, and have very good prospects.
At the same time, enterprises should actively participate in the whole process of soil testing and formula fertilization, understand the connotation of soil testing and formula fertilization, master the dynamics of agricultural development and fertilization of different crops and regions, and identify their products in the process of dealing with farmers. Positioning to form a large, fixed user base.
In short, the fertilizer companies should fully understand the impact of soil testing and formula fertilization, and make a positive response. Otherwise, when the adverse situation is formed, it is too late to start again.
