Working fire in Vernon Hills, 9-5-14

The Vernon Hills Countryside Fire Department was called to investigate smoke inside a townhouse at 15 Timber Lane on Friday, September 5th, 2014, around 9:30 PM. The call was quickly upgraded to a working fire response after the crew arrived. When I got there, the fire was mostly under control. Two hose lines were deployed, and the Mundelein Quint 432 aerial ladder was positioned on the roof. There was no visible fire or smoke coming from the building. Both primary and secondary searches were completed and found to be clear. The Red Cross was also contacted as part of the response. I’ve attached some photos of the fire apparatus from the scene.
