On April 19, 2011, Fast released its F-shift built with WABCO Automotive Control Systems, and announced that it will be fully launched to further promote the application of AMT in the Chinese market. .

In 2010, China’s medium- and heavy-duty truck market reached 1.3 million units. Fast, China’s largest truck parts supplier, has a market share of more than 80% for heavy-duty vehicles with transmissions over 8 tons, and over 92% for vehicles with more than 15 tons. . This year, Fast sold more than 850,000 automobile transmissions and produced more than 12.6 billion yuan in sales.

But will the medium- and heavy-duty truck market continue to grow at such a high rate in the future? When will the sales of medium-heavy trucks reach the top? This is a question for all truck manufacturers and must be considered by Fast.

In 2007, Fast had already begun to enter the field of passenger car transmission and hydraulic retarder in a planned manner and began to match in domestic passenger car products, gaining certain recognition.

However, from a more long-term perspective, automatic transmissions are the development trend of commercial vehicles in the world. Li Dakai has always believed that the lack of technology in the field of automatic transmission makes Fast able to claim large, but not strong.

Therefore, in April, Fast's series of joint ventures and cooperation in the field of automatic transmissions was not a matter of brainstorming. It was long within the long-term planning of the company.

At the end of 2009, China National Heavy Duty Truck Co., Ltd. also joined WABCO in the launch of the "Heavy-Automobile Smart Tiptronic" AMT transmission. Almost at the same time, FAW Jiefang also released its own AMT automatic transmission products. The signs of China's trucks entering the era of automatic transmission have emerged.

Although the promotion of AMT has not yet achieved great success, the attention of users to AMT and the fact that companies are trying to launch AMT models have already made AMT's future prospects in the Chinese truck market clearer.

Fast, which is closely linked with the truck industry, has never given up its own R&D on AMT. At the 2010 Beijing Auto Show, Fast had exhibited its AMT products.

This time it was WABCO's more mature AMT product, which was officially launched on the market.

Similarly, in the past few years, with the development of urban public transport and tourism, the demand for heavy-duty hydraulic automatic transmission (AT) has begun to appear. However, this market has been consistently followed by Allison, Voith, ZF, Eaton and other foreign companies occupy. It is predicted that the future AT automatic transmission market will increase at a rate of 20% per year. After 10 years, the proportion of passenger cars equipped with AT transmissions is expected to increase to more than 50%.

With Caterpillar's joint research and development of the world's latest technology AT products, Fast will be expected to break the monopoly of foreign-funded enterprises in this market.
