This is a 1990 IHC 990 International 4900 with a DTA 466 Diesel engine, just 13,000 miles on the clock! The truck was originally purchased by the Mount Prospect Fire Department in 1990 and has been kept indoors its entire life. It was maintained by the Mount Prospect Public Works Fleet. It features an automatic transmission, 36,220 GVWR, and an ONAN 7500KW Diesel Generator (120/240 V, 1 Phase) with only 572 hours of use.
The generator model is #7.5DKDFJ27798C and comes equipped with two large 3-wire 30-amp 200-foot cords on retractable reels. A heater is mounted in the rear cabin, and the body includes lockable roll-up doors with plenty of storage and some pull-out drawers. There's also an 8000 LB Ramsey Winch with a roller fairlead mounted on the front bumper.
Upgraded LED emergency light bar, four telescopic flood lights, and a cascade breathing air tank filling system with explosion-proof tanks that have passed hydrotesting and are good for five years.
This truck is in excellent condition and can be repurposed into a dump truck, box truck, tow truck, or many other uses with some modifications. The engine runs strong with no warning lights, the transmission shifts smoothly, and all emergency lights are fully functional. The body is made of aluminum from Betten/Remke, and there are no known issues. The truck was fully operational when it was taken out of service.
