Inverter environment installation requirements

The frequency converter is a commonly used power controller and has certain applications in many industries. When the inverter is installed, it requires the attention of the user in many aspects. The installation of the inverter is also relatively simple. There are certain requirements for the installation environment. What are the specific requirements for the environment?

(1) Ambient temperature

It is generally applied at -10°C-40°C and wet at the end of 90% of the environmental work. If the ambient temperature is higher than 40°C, the inverter shall derate by 5% for every 1°C increase.

(2) General requirements at the installation site

1) Non-corrosive, non-flammable and explosive gas, liquid 2) No dust, floating fiber and metal particles.

3) The foundation and wall of the installation site should be strong, non-damaged and vibration-free 4) Avoid direct sunlight 5) No electromagnetic interference (3) Installation space and ventilation of the inverter

The inverter is equipped with a cooling fan to force air cooling. In order to make the cooling cycle work well, the inverter must be installed vertically. When installing multiple inverters in the same device or control box, it is recommended to install them side by side in order to reduce mutual thermal effects.

(4) Disassembly of the inverter cover

During the installation, the inverter needs to be tested, inspected, connected, etc., which requires the cover to be disassembled. Pay attention to the characteristics of different inverters and install them according to their characteristics.

(5) Inverter wiring

1) Whether the wiring is wrong 2) Whether the wire chips, especially metal chips, short breaks, screws, and nuts are dropped inside the inverter 3) Whether the screw is tightened or if the wire is loose 4) The bare part of the terminal wiring Whether it touches the live parts of other terminals, whether it touches the inverter enclosure.

(6) Precautions for Control Circuit Wiring

1) The wiring of the control circuit and the main circuit should be separated from other power lines and power lines, and maintain a certain distance.

2) The wiring of the relay contact terminals in the inverter control circuit must be separated from the wiring of other control loop terminals to avoid interference signals when the contacts are closed or disconnected.

3) In order to prevent interference caused by noise and other signals, the inverter will malfunction and the control circuit adopts shielded wire.
