Sludge sedimentation tank --lamella clarifier



Introduction
The lamella clarifier, also known as an inclined plate sedimentation tank, is a high-efficiency combined settling tank. It features numerous densely packed inclined tubes in the sedimentation area to facilitate the settling of suspended impurities in water. As the water rises along the inclined tubes, the separated sludge slides down to the bottom of the tank by gravity and is then discharged in concentration. This design can improve sedimentation efficiency by 50–60%, and increase treatment capacity by 3–5 times within the same area. The system can be customized based on the results of a raw wastewater test, and typically requires flocculant addition.
Inclined plate sedimentation tanks have a 60° dip angle relative to the ground. When water flows upward along the inclined tubes, sludge and suspended solids settle onto the inclined tubes. They then slide back to the sludge layer due to gravity, settle into the sludge collection hopper, and flow into the sludge tank via the sludge pipe for separate treatment or comprehensive utilization. The supernatant gradually rises to the top of the tank.

 Application scope
1) Electroplating effluent contains various metal ions such as Cr, Cu, Fe, Zn, Ni, etc., with removal rates exceeding 90%. After treatment, all can meet discharge standards.
2) Coal mine and mineral processing wastewater can reduce turbidity from 500–1500 mg/L to 5 mg/L.
3) Printing and dyeing, bleaching and dyeing effluent has chroma removal rate between 70–90%, COD removal rate 50–70%.
4) Tannery, food, and other industrial sewage has COD removal rate 50–80%, impurity solids removal rate over 90%.
5) Chemical wastewater has COD removal rate 60–70%, chroma removal rate 60–90%, and suspended solids meet discharge standards.
6) Industrial production wastewater; pre-treatment for filtration; filtration of effluent and backwash water; river water purification and sludge concentration.
4. Structure introduction
1) Inclined tube material: PVC, PE, PP; inclined plate: carbon steel lining.
2) Inclined tube cross-section is regular hexagon, inclined plate cross-section can be parallel-plate.
3) The cleaning water area height should be 1.0–1.5m above the inclined pipe top. The water distribution zone below the bottom should be no less than 1.0–1.5m. Mechanical sludge discharge is used, and the water distribution zone height should be more than 1.6m for easy installation and maintenance.
4) The Reynolds number in water flow is less than 500, and the Froude number in the inclined pipe is 10â»Â³â€“10â»âµ.
5) The design flow rate for inclined tubes is 1.0–4.0 mm/s, and for inclined plates is 10–20 mm/s.
