How to use the pressure relief valve to extend the life of the condensate pump

The correct way to set the drive pressure for a mechanical pump is to drive the pressure higher than the back pressure of 1-1.5kg / cm2 (15-20psig). This is correct in most cases. But sometimes in order to achieve the displacement of the pump, you need to set the driving pressure slightly higher. When the driving pressure is high, the downside is that it easily causes wear on the intake valve. If the driving pressure is higher than the required value, the intake valve will cause serious wear and tear and had to replace the intake valve in advance.

In this case, it is recommended to use a pressure reducing valve or a pressure reducing valve station. The pressure relief valve allows both the drive pressure to be set at a set pressure that meets the pump displacement and protects the intake valve from wear. In addition, when the application space is more narrow, it is recommended to use a relief valve with a steam pipe. During pumping, the manifold supplies the pump to provide a buffer for the pump. This buffer softens the entire device and reduces wear and tear on the pressure relief valve.
