·Guangzhou Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. expanded the recall of some domestic Accord, song poetry, Fit, Fengfan, Idea S1 car

Recently, Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the AQSIQ according to the requirements of the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recall and the Implementation Measures for the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recall, and decided to start from April 2, 2018. A total of 373,371 vehicles were recalled from the domestic Accord, Song Poetry, Fit, Fengfan and Idea S1 sedan. Specific information is as follows:

(i) The 2013 Accord sedan produced between February 16, 2012 and August 9, 2013, totaling 89,945 vehicles;

(ii) A total of 82,800 2013 singer-song cars produced between June 13, 2011 and December 24, 2013;

(3) A total of 36,737 2013-type Fit cars produced between September 14, 2012 and September 3, 2013;

(4) The 2013 model Fengfan sedan produced between January 9, 2013 and August 10, 2014, totaling 147,083 vehicles;

(v) The 2013 concept S1 sedan produced between February 27, 2013 and August 8, 2014, totaling 16,806 vehicles.

The airbags in front of the passenger's seat of some vehicles in this recall range were equipped with an ammonium nitrate gas generator without a desiccant produced by Takada. When the airbag is deployed, the gas generator may be abnormally damaged, causing debris to fly out and injuring the inside of the vehicle, posing a safety hazard. Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace the airbag gas generator in front of the passenger seat for the vehicles within the scope of the recall to eliminate safety hazards.
