According to foreign reports, in the third quarter, Continental Group’s revenue reached 6.49 billion euros, up 21.6% from 5.34 billion euros in the same period of 2009. In the first nine months of 2010, mainland revenue reached 19.14 billion euros, up 32.9% from the 14.4 billion euros in the same period in 2009.
In the third quarter, the pre-tax profit on the mainland reached 365 million euros (5.6%), while the loss for the same period in 2009 was 912 million euros (-17.1%). In the first nine months of 2010, the pre-tax profit on the mainland reached 1.376 billion euros (7.2%), while the loss for the same period in 2009 was 1.038 billion euros (-7.2%).
In the third quarter, the mainland’s cash outflow amounted to 126 million euros and the cash flow amounted to 394 million euros. In the first nine months of 2010, the mainland’s cash outflow amounted to 169 million euros and its cash flow amounted to 1.084 billion euros. At the end of the third quarter, the mainland’s net debt was 8.09 billion euros, and its net debt for the same period in 2009 was 9.46 billion euros.
The Continental Group expects 2010 revenue to exceed 25 billion euros (approximately US$34.91 billion), and EBIT margin will reach 9%. The net profit will reach 400 million euros. The net cash flow in the fourth quarter will reach 500 million euros, and the net debt will decrease to less than 8 billion euros.
