Introduction of Spiral Chute
The spiral chute is a modern gravity separation device designed for the processing of various minerals such as iron, tin, tungsten, tantalum, niobium, gold, and coal. It can effectively separate particles ranging from 0.6mm to 0.05mm in size. This machine is widely used in mineral processing due to its efficiency and reliability.
Working Principle of Spiral Chute
To operate the spiral chute, it should be positioned vertically and secured with an iron frame or wooden structure. The ore is then fed into the top of the spiral via a sand pump, along with supplementary water. The concentration of the slurry is adjusted to ensure optimal performance. As the slurry flows down the spiral, it creates a swirling motion that generates centrifugal force. This helps in separating the valuable minerals from the gangue based on differences in specific gravity, particle size, and shape. The concentrate is collected in a bucket, while the tailings are directed to a pond and pumped away, completing the entire beneficiation process.

The spiral chute consists of several key components, including an ore uniformizer, a cross (tripod), a feeding tank, a spiral groove, a troughing trough, a collecting bucket, and a trough strut. These parts work together to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the machine.
