It was learned from the Shuyang Power Supply Company that Xiangyang City will put in batches of 50 pure electric vehicles in the second half of this year, 10 of which will be commuting vehicles for enterprises and public institutions, and the service scope will be mainly located in the high-tech industrial park.
The existing Dengcheng and Sanqiao North electric vehicle charging stations in Xiangyang City are operated and managed by Shuyang Power Supply Company. In the next step, the power supply company will build a charging station at Dongqi. By then, there will be 20 DC charging poles for urban bus lines, which will better serve the new energy industry in Fuyang City.
The first charging station in Xiangyang, Dengcheng Charging Station, was completed and put into production in August 2010. It is the first charging station for electric vehicles in operation in the province. As of June 4, the continuous charging capacity of the charging station exceeded 1 million kilowatt-hours, serving 9,482 vehicles.
