Fire Water Supply Equipment with Water Tank

XBC series diesel fire pump sets are designed in accordance with GB6245-2006 "Performance requirements and test methods for fire pumps" and NEPA20 "Centrifugal fire pump installation". These units are particularly suitable for scenarios where electric fire pumps cannot be used during emergencies. The diesel engine fire pumps automatically start to ensure safety of life and property.

The XBC series diesel fire pump set consists of a normal-pressure water tank, diesel fire pump, and pressure proportional mixer. It is widely used in fire fighting systems across petroleum, chemical, harbor, oil depot, and airport environments. The normal-pressure water tank stores water for firefighting purposes. When a fire occurs, the automatic fire control cabinet receives signals and starts the diesel fire pump, which works through the pressure proportional mixer to generate foam for extinguishing fires.

In abnormal conditions, the diesel engine may not reach its rated power. To ensure proper operation, it is recommended to select a diesel engine with greater power for the pump.

Main Features
Diesel fire pump and automatic control cabinet:
1. Composed of renowned diesel engines and high-efficiency centrifugal pumps, offering excellent starting and overload performance, compact structure, ease of use, and high automation, making them advanced and reliable fire equipment.
2. Three-start functions:
- Manual start function: interlock between manual and automatic start via switch;
- Automatic start function: allows three attempts; if failed three times, it triggers a "Start fail warning" and exits automatically; once started, it reaches rated values within 5-10-15 seconds (depending on capacity);
- Emergency manual direct start function: direct manual start in case of emergency.
3. Automatic run: upon receiving a low-pressure signal, it starts automatically to compensate for network pressure; when pressure recovers, it stops automatically.
4. Automatic stop: when the fire signal or pipeline pressure signal is off, it delays and stops automatically.
5. Battery self-charging voltage stabilization: battery can be charged via electrical supply for smooth start.
6. Comprehensive indication system: includes prepare to start, manual start, automatic start, running, stop, battery charging, overspeed, lubricant oil shortage, low cooling water temperature preheat, and timed monitoring.
7. Complete warning or protection system: includes three failures, overspeed, low lubricant oil pressure, low booster oil pressure, high cooling water temperature, low lubricant oil temperature, charger failure, low battery voltage, high battery voltage, and low engine oil level warnings.
8. Full display system: shows diesel engine lubricant oil pressure, rotation speed, battery charging current, and voltage.
9. Direct coupling: diesel engine directly coupled with pump, channel steel base, compact, fewer faults, easy to install.
10. Wide pressure and flow range: IS series single-stage & single-prime, SOW series new single-stage & double-prime, TSWA series split multi-stage pump, meeting various firefighting needs.
11. Flow and pressure adjustment: diesel fire pump has mechanical or electronic speed regulator, allowing speed changes to adjust flow and head.

Pressure Proportional Mixer
1. Core design is corrosion-resistant with a long service life.
2. Ball valves, shut-off valves, and safety valves are top-quality products in China, ensuring reliable operation.
3. Tank made of hot-rolled sheet steel, welded by electric arc welding, capable of withstanding up to 1.6MPa pressure.
4. Diaphragm in the tank is a high-strength compound rubber diaphragm, completely separating water and foam, with remaining foam available later to reduce waste.
5. Standard configuration includes ball valves on inlet and outlet pipes; if users have specific requirements, pneumatic or electric ball valves can be installed on inlet, foam, and outlet pipes, along with a control cabinet for valve control.
6. Over-voltage protection: when actual pressure exceeds the safety valve's limit, the safety valve drains off.

Normal-Pressure Water Tank
The tank is constructed from hot-rolled sheet steel, welded by electric arc welding, with a hole, exhaust valve, and lamp on the top, and a ladder and liquid level meter on the side.

Basic Operation
The pressure proportional mixer should be in ready status (inlet and outlet ball valves open, other valves closed). The diesel fire pump’s inlet and outlet valves should normally be open. When a fire occurs, the diesel fire pump starts (via remote start control cable, the fire control cabinet directly controls the start/stop of the diesel fire pump; once started, the signal goes to the fire control center; for more functions, see the control cabinet wiring diagram). Connect to the outlet pipe, open the copper outlet valve, transfer the mixed liquids to the foam producer to extinguish the fire. The normal-pressure water tank has liquid level control; when the level is too low, the level sensor sends a signal to the control cabinet to stop the diesel engine (in manual or automatic mode, you cannot start the diesel fire pump; when the level is above the sensor, you can restart the diesel fire pump) to avoid seal damage when running without water. There is a lighting unit on the top of the tank, which can be turned on via the control panel at night.
